Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee offers a Nurse Residency Program designed to train licensed RNs with no prior operating room experience to work in the intra-operative environment. The program accepts new graduates or nurses from non-surgical backgrounds and emphasizes foundational perioperative skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required for applicant.
• BLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Active nursing license in good standing in Tennessee or Kentucky to begin the program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and assist the perioperative team.
• Provide patient and family education about the perioperative process.
• Participate in orientation, preceptor-led training, and competency validation.
