Job summary

Qualifications

• RN Registered Nurse licensure.
• ACLS/BCLS/PALS certifications or equivalents required within specified timeframes.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and provide education to patients and families.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including preoperative medications and site verification.
• Participate in surgical workflow, orientation, and preceptor-guided rounds.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team and apply the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
