Job summary

Compass Surgical Partners-Horizon Baptist Beaches Surgery Center in Jacksonville Beach, FL seeks an RN for perioperative care including pre-op, PACU, and stepdown. You will assess patients, deliver individualized nursing care, monitor recovery, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

The role requires an accredited RN program graduate, Florida RN license, 1 year of OR/perioperative experience, and BLS (ACLS within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Florida RN license (unencumbered).
• At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years).
• Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery.
• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients.
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols.
• Support patient education and post-op instructions.
