Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a certified Operating Room Nurse to provide patient care in the surgical setting in alignment with organizational standards. The role requires guiding new grads and new hires, ensuring documentation accuracy, and maintaining high quality and safety in the operating room environment.

The position is full-time, days shift, with 40 hours weekly and benefits eligibility; the department focuses on patient-centered care and intraoperative coordination

Qualifications

• Two years perioperative nursing experience.
• Oversee orientation of new graduates and new hires.
• Nurse Practice Act guidance and delegation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Consults with health care team to plan intraoperative patient care.
• Documents in EMR to support patient care.
• Delegates within scope of practice per Nurse Practice Act.
• Allocates resources to meet patient needs and safety.
• Supports unit education and competencies with CNE/CNS guidance.
• Provides orientation coaching and learning for new staff.
• Acts as liaison to patients, families and operating team.
• Prepares operating room for procedures and ensures patient-centered care.
