Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience in multiple specialties.
• 1 year pediatric OR experience preferred; proficiency in at least three services.
• Licensure: RN in DC, MD, or VA; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with the healthcare team to plan intraoperative patient care.
• Serves as liaison to patients, families, and the operating team.
• Prepares the operating room and assembles equipment.
• Delivers perioperative, patient- and family-centered care.
• Uses outcome data to inform care decisions and participate in quality improvement.
• Document in the EMR to support patient care and ensure safety protocols.
