Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital seeks an experienced RN to serve as Assistant Nurse Manager - Perioperative. This role oversees Pre-op, OR, PACU and GI/Endoscopy, ensuring clinical excellence and patient safety in a fast-paced perioperative unit.

The successful candidate will lead staff development, schedule management, regulatory compliance and quality initiatives, while upholding MLKCH values and guiding teams through complex patient care pathways.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience in an acute perioperative setting.
• Two years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• California RN license is required.
• CNOR or ASPAN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Promote patient safety, quality and performance improvement.
• Mentor staff and develop competency through education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and committees.
