Job summary

USA Health in Mobile is seeking a Perioperative Nurse Educator to lead the initial perioperative skills development and ongoing professional education for staff across perioperative services. The role includes curriculum development, skills assessment, and governance participation to ensure evidence-based practice.

You will develop materials and onboard RNs and scrub techs, ensuring staff stay current with policies and procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor's Degree in nursing.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership and coordination of initial perioperative skills development for all perioperative staff.
Develops perioperative curriculum and conducts ongoing skills assessment.
Participates in perioperative governance and policy discussions.
Develops educational materials to support adoption of new technologies and processes.
On-boards clinical staff (RNs & Scrub Techs) and ensures policy adherence.
Assists service line coordinators in staffing based on competencies.
Participates in annual performance reviews related to skill development.
