Job summary

SolutionHealth seeks a Perioperative Clinical Educator to plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate onboarding and competency development for perioperative staff. You will serve as a clinical expert, promote evidence-based care, and lead educational initiatives within the Surgical Services team.

You will collaborate with the leadership team, report to the Director of Nursing Professional Development, and drive change and teamwork across perioperative services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or completion within one year of hire.
• Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of three years progressive clinical experience in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, develop and implement unit-based orientation and monitor progress of new hires.
• Facilitate unit-based preceptor development.
• Assess needs and design educational activities to maintain perioperative clinical competence.
• Review and revise unit-specific competencies with unit leadership.
• Develop perioperative training for novice OR RNs.
• Coach and mentor staff to enhance care delivery and safety.
• Evaluate perioperative processes and procedures.
• Ensure area-specific educational requirements are met.
• Maintain documentation of required education.
• Contribute to annual performance appraisals as requested.
• Collaborate with peers to promote unit and organizational goals.
• Review perioperative policies based on guidelines and regulatory requirements.
