Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN - Registered Nurse licensure (state-required).
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days of hire.
• TCAR within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Consults with the health care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Reviews charts for completeness per protocols before and after surgery.
• Prepare operating room with supplies, implants, instrumentation and equipment.
• Ensure patient safety via intraoperative timeouts and handling of sponges and instruments.
• Position patient safely on the operating room table and maintain aseptic conditions.
• Coordinate post-anesthesia care and transfer to PACU as needed.
• Communicate with family and operating room staff; document care concisely.
• Assist with medications, dressings, and specimen handling as required.
• Support OR and PACU operations to optimize turnover and throughput.
• Participate in ongoing education and adherence to infection control standards.
