Qualifications

• BLS - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
• ACLS - within 90 days Required
• PALS - within 90 days Required
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and coordination of initial perioperative skills development and ongoing professional development for all staff in perioperative services
• Develops perioperative curriculum and assesses ongoing staff competencies
• Participates in perioperative service leadership functions and meetings
• Develops curriculum to support perioperative training of RNs and scrub techs
• Ensures curriculum aligns with best practice and adult learning principles
• On-boards clinical staff (RNs & Scrub Techs) and ensures adherence to policies and procedures
• Develops educational materials to facilitate adoption of new technologies and processes
• Supports performance evaluations related to skill development and competencies
