Job summary

HCA Healthcare seeks a Nurse Educator Perioperative to influence patient care through collaborative relationships with management and participation in national nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate outcomes and advance the nursing profession.

The role leads onboarding for nursing staff, partners with the Director of Clinical Professional Development, and designs competency activities to close gaps while promoting evidence-based practice and lifelong learning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Master's degree in nursing preferred.
Minimum 2 years in clinical education or leadership roles preferred.
Active RN license in state of practice or compact state license required.

Responsibilities

Develop onboarding and orientation programs for nursing staff.
Provide orientation to promote employee retention.
Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs.
Develop competency and education activities addressing practice gaps.
Plan content delivery to engage learners and integrate evidence-based practice.
Promote lifelong learning and support research, EBP, and quality improvement.
