HCA Healthcare in Nashville, TN is seeking a Nurse Educator Perioperative to influence patient care through collaboration with leadership and participation in hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate outcomes and the future of nursing.

The role leads onboarding and orientation programs, promotes retention, and designs competency-based activities to close practice gaps.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
2+ years in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership is preferred.
2+ years in acute care hospital is preferred.
RN license in state of practice or active compact license required.
Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Saving) required.
Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Develop onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
Provide onboarding to promote employee retention.
Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs.
Develop, coordinate, and manage competency evaluation activities.
Design educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed staff.
Plan content delivery to encourage learner engagement.
Promote evidence-based practice and participate in research, EBP, and QI.
Foster lifelong learning and skill maturation across staff.
