Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Inventory and Supply Chain professional to manage medical and supply inventory, ensuring clinical teams have the products they need while maintaining accurate stock levels and regulatory compliance.

The role involves coordinating with clinical staff and Supply Chain, monitoring par levels, investigating discrepancies, and supporting process improvements to enhance patient care and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• 2 years of acute care supply or clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in MMIS software preferred.
• CPIM or related certification preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage periodic inventory plan including par levels and restocking.
• Facilitate communication of supply needs between clinical areas and Supply Chain.
• Use data to support stocking plan and inventory accuracy.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate product changes and transfers across the health system.
• Monitor for expired/obsolete products and document actions.
• Stock, process returns and pick supplies as needed.
• Communicate delays and substitutes promptly to staff.
• Support process changes to improve product management and safety.
• Assist in KPIs data collection and reporting.
