Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center in Seattle is seeking a Surgical Technologist to enable the surgical team by preparing instruments, equipment and supplies, and to support patient care under RN supervision with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

The role requires 5 years of OR experience, BLS certification, and registration as a Washington Surgical Technologist; position is on-site with a competitive benefits package and a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates.

Qualifications

• Certificate or completion of a surgical technician vocational program or equivalent training.
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration required on hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required on hire.
• 5 years current operating room experience.
• Experience across multiple surgical areas (General, MIS, Vascular, GU, GYN, etc.) as outlined in the competency checklist.
• Experience using computers.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate surgical procedures by assembling instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Work as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse with the surgeon and anesthesiologist to provide patient care.
• Adhere to Swedish Medical Center and Perioperative Services policies and procedures.
