Job summary

The Surgical Technologist role at Providence Swedish supports a patient-focused, whole-person care environment within the Swedish Medical Center system. Qualifications

• Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or documentation of equivalent training.
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• 5 years current operating room experience
• Experience in multiple surgical areas (General, MIS, Vascular, GU, GYN, Gastro, Plastics, ENT, Eye, MaxFac, Ortho, Neuro, Spine, Peds, Thoracic and Transplant) as outlined in the skills/competency checklist.
• Experience using computers

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the surgical procedure through the assembly of instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Work as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical staff.
• Adhere to Swedish Medical Center and Perioperative Services policies and procedures.
