Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Surgical Technologist to facilitate procedures by preparing instrumentation, equipment and supplies. You will work as part of a surgical team under RN supervision across multiple OR locations on campus.

The role requires WA Surgical Technologist registration, BLS certification, and 5 years of OR experience across diverse surgical areas. Computer skills and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or documentation of equivalent training.
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 5 years current operating room experience.
• Experience in multiple surgical areas as outlined in the skills/competency checklist.
• Experience using computers.

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist is responsible for facilitating the surgical procedure through the assembly of instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• The role works as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical support personnel.
