The role supports a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality perioperative care, with emphasis on patient preparation, education, and adherence to safety protocols.

Candidate must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing, be licensed as an RN, and obtain ACLS within 30 days of start date; BCLS/CPR required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required; ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS/CPR required within 30 days of start date; instructor credentials considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education about procedures and peri-operative process
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Respond to patient emergencies with high-quality, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in the OR
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership to deliver safe care
• Monitor patient condition and document changes accurately
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up
