Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a PRN Endoscopy Nurse to join our team. You will evaluate patients before surgery, educate families, and manage perioperative care with a focus on safety and efficiency in the operating room.

The role requires RN licensure, ACLS and BCLS within specified timelines, and at least 1 year of RN experience with endoscopy preferred. On-site work with on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS certifications required within specified timeframes.
• RN licensure with active state registration.
• Endoscopy experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and prepare for perioperative care.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and perioperative process.
• Manage preoperative medications and IV therapy as part of patient preparation.
• Assist with surgical site verification, time out, and universal protocols per hospital policy.
• Monitor patient condition, document changes, and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with providers, surgeons, and surgical staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.
