Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Current RN licensure in the State of California is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; operating room national certification could be in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational support to staff, patients, and families in the perioperative setting.
• Develop core curriculum, program planning, and clinical oversight for staff education.
• Coordinate orientation of new employees and preceptorships with competency validation.
• Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement activities related to perioperative services.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for customer service and collaborative practice.
