Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL seeks a Perioperative Clinical Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff in surgical patient care. The role works under RN direction, assists with OR setup, and ensures instruments and supplies are ready for cases.

Expect on-call rotations with a 30-minute response time. Full-time position, 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday noon to 8:30 pm, with weekends/holidays on call.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 12 months OR healthcare/clinical experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and/or case carts.
• Assist nursing staff in care provision for patients undergoing surgical intervention.
• Ensure the surgery area is stocked and supplied.
• Provide support with routine clinical tasks as directed by RN staff.
