Job summary

Central Oregon Surgical Institute LLC in Bend, Oregon seeks an experienced Operating Room Circulating Nurse / Scrub to ensure patient safety and smooth perioperative flow. This role requires strong sterile technique and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff throughout the procedure.

Candidates must be a registered nurse with Oregon license, current BLS and ACLS, plus OR experience; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with Oregon license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Previous operating room experience required.
• CNOR preferred.
• Proficient in sterile technique and perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Check essential equipment at the start of each surgery day.
• Ensure instruments and supplies are ready for the procedure.
• Assist with opening supplies using sterile technique.
• Interview patient preoperatively; verify orders, H&P, allergies, and NPO status.
• Assist with patient transport to OR and monitor connections; assist with IV sedation as needed.
• Support the anesthesiologist and prep the surgical site.
• Document intraoperative events and counts of sponges/needles.
• Assist in transferring patient to Recovery Area and in OR cleanup.
