Job summary

The CORE Institute is seeking a dedicated perioperative nurse to ensure patient safety and high-quality care in the operating room. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to maintain a sterile field and accurate patient identification throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting in room turnover, educating patients pre-op, and participating in handoffs to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Three years experience in acute OR; at least 12 months in Orthopedic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource to teammates, support services, and physicians; maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Mentor and orient staff; provide feedback to manager or designee.
• Keep the surgical area clean and organized; handle instruments and sponges as used.
