Responsibilities extend to handling blood products and specimens, transporting patients, and supporting the team. A high school diploma is required; medical assistant training or BSN-related education is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant program preferred.
• BSN-related education desired for progression.

Responsabilités

• Maintain room cleanliness before and after surgical procedures.
• Assist with operating room preparation, equipment retrieval and setup.
• Ensure instruments and supplies are available for cases.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist circulating nurse as directed.
• Transport specimens and blood products to designated locations.
• Perioperative support including patient transport and post-op care.
• Precept new hires and demonstrate infection control and universal precautions.
• Participate in related duties as assigned.
