RWJBarnabas Health in Hamilton, NJ, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for a part-time role at the Hamilton campus. The APP coordinates perioperative and postoperative care in collaboration with the attending physician and operates under NJ state policies for PAs/NPs.

Qualifications

• The APP is an independent health care provider who coordinates care through collaboration with the attending Physician.
• The PA or APN provides care in accordance with the objectives policies and procedures of the practice and the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee

Responsibilities

• The main function of this role is to provide consistent, high-quality perioperative/postoperative care for all surgery patients
• The APP will be expected to function as an active member of the surgery patient care team
• Responsibilities include, perioperative/postoperative management
• Hospital rounds on inpatients, and emergency room consultations
• The APP will be expected to work to the full extent of their licensure with an emphasis on supervised autonomy
