Job summary

Dental Associates is seeking a Dental Assistant to support exam procedures, assist with complex treatments, and help maintain patient records at our Franklin, WI clinic. You will collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and specialists across a growing organization.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred completion of a Dental Assistant program and knowledge of X-ray practices and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Previous Dental Assistant experience or completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred.
• Knowledge of state dental practices requirements, including X-ray proficiency and OSHA training strongly preferred.
• Good customer service skills and ability to work as a team in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider throughout exam including complex treatment, surgery, & all operatory-related care.
• Explain treatment procedures; seek clarification and understanding from patient.
• Review and assist patient in updating iPad medical history.
• Assist provider with patient education.
• Take patient blood pressure, X-rays and radiographs.
• Monitor oxygen levels when nitrous or IV is administered.
• Make impressions and fabricate crowns as instructed.
• Prepare and record clinical notes, charting and patient record.
• Prepare operatory for patient exam; sterilize instruments and disinfect operatory.
• Provide coverage for Dental Services Representatives to account for absences or high-volume periods.

Department: Periodontics

Travel to our Bayshore Clinic (5780 N. Port Washington Rd., Glendale, WI 53217) is required every other Monday. Travel to our Sturtevant Clinic (10155 Washington Ave., Sturtevant, WI 53177) is required every other Tuesday.

Schedule

Monday: 7:00am-4:00pm (Franklin Clinic) and 7:30am-4:30pm (Bayshore Clinic)

Tuesday: 10:00am-5:00pm

Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm

Friday: 7:00am-12:00pm

Saturday: Off
