Job summary

Dental Associates is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our Periodontics team in Wisconsin. The role offers competitive wages, uniform allowance, and a robust benefits package with 36 hours weekly. Travel to our Waukesha Clinic (Tuesdays) is required.

Qualifications

• Previous Dental Assistant experience or completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of state dental practices requirements, including X-ray proficiency and OSHA training strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist provider throughout exam including complex treatment, surgery, & all operatory-related care
• Explain treatment procedures; seek clarification and understanding from patient
• Review and assist patient in updating iPad medical history
• Assist provider with patient education
• Take patient blood pressure, X-rays and radiographs
• Monitor oxygen levels when nitrous or IV is administered
• Make impressions and fabricate crowns as instructed
• Prepare and record clinical notes, charting and patient record
• Prepare operatory for patient exam; sterilize instruments and disinfect operatory
• Provide coverage for Dental Services Representatives to account for absences or high-volume periods

Travel to our Waukesha Clinic (1211 Dolphin Ct., Waukesha, WI 53186) is required every Tuesday.

Schedule

Monday: Off, Tuesday/Wednesday: 7:30am-6:00pm, Thursday: 7:30am-5:30pm, Friday: 7:00am-4:00pm, and Saturday: Off

Total Weekly Hours: 36
