Job summary

Dental Associates is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our Wisconsin team. You will support dentists and hygienists, assist with exams, take X-rays, and help educate patients in a busy practice with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assistant experience or completion of an accredited program preferred.
• X-ray proficiency and OSHA training strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider throughout exam, including complex treatment and surgery.
• Explain procedures; seek patient understanding and consent.
• Review and assist patient in updating iPad medical history.
• Assist provider with patient education and information.
• Take patient blood pressure, X-rays and radiographs.
• Monitor oxygen levels when nitrous or IV is used.
• Make impressions and fabricate crowns as instructed.
• Prepare and record clinical notes, charting and patient records.
• Prepare operatory for patient exam; sterilize instruments and disinfect area.
• Provide coverage for Dental Services Representatives during absences or high volume.

$20.00-26.00 hourly plus annual increases.

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Previous Dental Assistant experience or completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of state dental practices requirements, including X-ray proficiency and OSHA training strongly preferred
• Effective interpersonal skills to maintain rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff members
• Good customer service skills and ability to work as a team in fast-paced environment
