Job summary

Dental Associates is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our Wisconsin clinic family. Qualifications

  • Previous Dental Assistant experience or completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of state dental practices requirements, including X-ray proficiency and OSHA training preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to maintain rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist provider throughout exam including complex treatment, surgery, & all operatory-related care
  • Explain treatment procedures; seek clarification and understanding from patient
  • Review and assist patient in updating iPad medical history
  • Assist provider with patient education
  • Take patient blood pressure, X-rays and radiographs
  • Monitor oxygen levels when nitrous or IV is administered
  • Make impressions and fabricate crowns as instructed
  • Prepare and record clinical notes, charting and patient record
  • Prepare operatory for patient exam; sterilize instruments and disinfect operatory
  • Provide coverage for Dental Services Representatives to account for absences or high-volume periods

$20.00-26.00 hourly plus annual increases.

Department: Pediatric Dental Assistant

Travel to our Miller Park Way clinic (2100 Miller Park Way, West Milwaukee, WI 53219) on Fridays is required.

Schedule

Monday: Off, Tuesday: 9:00am-6:00pm, Wednesday: 10:00am-6:00pm, Thursday: Off, Friday: 7:00am-2:00pm, and 1 Saturday a month: 7:00am-12:00pm

Job Responsibilities
