Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care under supervision. The role requires an ADN with BSN preferred and MD RN licensure in good standing, plus CPR certification every two years.

Bachelor’s degree must be completed within 3.5 years of start date. The nurse will work with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Maryland RN license.
• Completion of Healthcare Provider CPR every 2 years.
• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred; Bachelor's within 3.5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient data and formulate nursing diagnosis.
• Develop and update a written nursing plan of care.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and families.
• Document patient status and plan of care in the medical record.
• Delegate duties and supervise ancillary staff as needed.
• Contribute to teaching and discharge planning.
