Job summary

Williamson Health in Franklin, TN seeks a skilled obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nurse to provide compassionate care in a high-acuity perinatal unit. The role emphasizes emotional support, education, and holistic well-being for patients.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, maintain safety standards, manage on-call duties, and complete required certifications within given timelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
• Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• NRP within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
• Care of the Obstetric Patient –Level I within 1 year of hire.
• Care of the High Risk Obstetric Patient-Level II within 1 year of hire.
• VUMC Advanced Fetal Monitoring or AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire.
• Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
• Perinatal Healthcare and Delivery.
• Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly.
• Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day.
• Able to push/pull up to 175lbs.
• Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs a comprehensive assessment on all patients within appropriate time of admission.
• Plans the patient's care on an individual basis with identified problems and outcomes.
• Plans for patient teaching, discharge and post discharge needs.
• Functions independently with treatments and equipment.
• Documents accurately and timely.
• Reassess patient's condition and modify plan of care as needed.
• Handles charge responsibilities and staff development.
• Maintains healing and therapeutic environment for the patient and family.
• Maintains position specific qualifications and attends in-services.
