Job summary

Williamson Health in Franklin, Tennessee seeks a Registered Nurse - Inpatient Pediatrics for night shifts on a PRN basis. The role focuses on immediate, specialized pediatric care in an inpatient setting with family-centered support.

Preference is for at least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience. Required certifications include PALS, ACLS, ENPC or TNCC, and NVCI, to be completed within 6 months of hire. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Pediatric emergency/acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Courses required or completed within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides family-centered care
• Quickly assesses patients to identify their needs
• Able to work well under pressure
• Works with pediatric ED physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialist to provide care
• Explains treatment plans and procedures to patients and families
• Maintains hospital and unit competencies
• Collaborates with pediatric acute care team for care transition of admitted patients
