Job summary

Covenant Health’s Fort Sanders Perinatal Center in Tennessee seeks a Registered Nurse for the LeConte Love unit. The role provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit and coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Locations include Sevierville, with responsibilities across high-risk obstetric care. Responsibilities include patient education, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and implementing individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Tennessee RN license required; licensure must be active.
• CPR certification required.
• New graduate within first year of orientation; move to level II after one year of experience.
• Must meet licensure standards as required by the issuing authority.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
• Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and evaluates outcomes.
• Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments with supervision.
• Introduces new employees and students to unit routines.
• Participates on unit-based committees.
• Demonstrates competence in delivering care per age-specific needs.
• Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and Sitters.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards; completes required education annually.
• Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
