Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Mount Pleasant, TX is seeking a dedicated Perinatal RN to join our unit. The nurse will provide routine and complex maternal-neonatal care, applying the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, and will delegate as needed to support safe patient outcomes.

Candidates should have a BSN (preferred), at least 1 year of related nursing experience, and current BLS, RN license (state or compact).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• All certifications should be current and in line with unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers on learning needs and resources.
