Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a skilled perinatal nurse to deliver patient care on the perinatal unit. You will supervise nursing interventions, assess learning needs of patients, families and staff, and provide clinical education while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop a comprehensive care plan.

Required qualifications include California RN license, BSN/MSN, and BLS certification, with Labor and Delivery experience preferred. This role is within a Magnet designated health system.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license is required.
• BSN/MSN required.
• BLS certification from ARC or AHA is required.
• Ability to perform a nursing physical assessment.
• Ability to develop a care plan with goals, monitoring and documentation.
• Ability to implement interventions aligned with care goals.
• Ability to evaluate intervention effectiveness and reassess goals.
• Ability to delegate tasks to promote leadership and teamwork.
• Knowledge to educate patients, families, and staff on clinical care issues.
