Job summary

Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for perinatal care in a full-time daytime role. The facility is a 202-bed acute care hospital offering 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, imaging, and labor and delivery services.

The RN will deliver safe patient care and support teaching from delivery through discharge. Qualifications include a valid RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP upon hire, fetal monitoring certification within 90 days, and at least 3 years of perinatal experience; BSN

Qualifications

Current valid state RN License.
BLS upon hire and maintain current.
ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
NRP within 90 days of hire and maintain current.
Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 90 days of hire
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a perinatal nurse in an acute care setting.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation.
Direct patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
Use chain of command to ensure patient well-being from post delivery stabilization through discharge.
