The RN will provide independent nursing care in a perinatal setting, using standard nursing processes and protocols. Requirements include a BSN (preferred) and an active RN license in Texas (or a compact state), plus BLS.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; 1 year of acute care nursing experience in perinatal setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor effects.
• Document patient history, symptoms, meds and care delivered.
• Educate patients and families; assess learning needs and provide resources.
