Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels (CSRH-NB) is a full-service, 94-bed facility offering obstetric, neonatal, emergency, and imaging services in downtown New Braunfels.

We seek a Perinatal RN who practices independently, provides routine and complex care, administers medications, documents patient history, and educates patients and families. Requires BSN (preferred), 1 year acute care experience, TX RN license, BLS, STABLE, and NRP. Schedule is 7PM–7AM, full time.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred
• Current RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification required
• STABLE and NRP certifications required

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers; identify resources.
