Job summary

South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to provide peri-operative care under the PeriAnesthesia Director. You will deliver direct and indirect patient care across the age continuum and follow the nursing process per hospital policy.

You will supervise staff, participate in risk management and performance improvement, contribute to policy development, and support a safe, high-quality surgical environment through teamwork and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Texas with current license.
• BLS & ACLS required or to be obtained within the specified timeline.
• Experience in ICU/ED/Recovery or other critical care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in perioperative/postoperative settings.
• Supervise and coordinate with nursing and ancillary staff.
• Participate in risk management, infection control, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with policy development and staff education.
