Job summary

Children’s Health in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in the Perianesthesia department for on-site care during 4x10 hour shifts. The role emphasizes direct patient care, collaboration with surgeons and the care team, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Required BSN and Texas RN license with current BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS or PACES, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience. Call and holiday coverage apply.

Qualifications

• BSN in Nursing required.
• Registered Nurse license in Texas (or eligibility) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP and PACES/PALS certifications required by department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process to create a developmentally appropriate care plan.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team to ensure safe, effective care.
• Document patient encounters accurately in EPIC and maintain PHI security.
• Educate patients and families and advocate for patient rights and preferences.
• Monitor and improve quality and safety, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Oversee care coordination and delegate tasks appropriately within the care team.
