Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Perianesthesia RN to join the team at the University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves pre- and post-anesthesia care in PACU with rotating day/evening shifts and on-call requirements on weekends.

Ideal candidates hold MN RN Licensure with 2 years of Perianesthesia/PACU/ICU/ED experience and BLS certification. ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• MN RN Licensure
• 2 yearsRN experience in Perianesthesia, PACU, ICU or ED
• Basic Life Support Certification through Health Care Providers
• ACLS and/or PALS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and patient condition according to Perioperative Policy and Standards.
• Coordinate care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
• Deliver care reflecting developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
• Evaluate care, adapt interventions and prioritize care based on patient assessment.
• Perform pre-admission phone calls, admissions day of surgery, monitoring and discharge readiness.
