Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a qualified Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist to support cardiac and non-cardiac procedures. The role involves preparing for procedures, calculating perfusion requirements, and ensuring patient safety through precise monitoring of flows, pressures and temperature.

Ideal candidates have accredited perfusion training, a master's or bachelor's degree, and state licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited cardiopulmonary perfusion program with a master's or bachelor's degree; master's preferred.
• Preferred two years experience; new grads welcome; Certified or eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Connecticut State Perfusion License or ABCP Certified; must obtain license within one year of hire.
• Requires analytical, organizational and oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for cardiac and non-cardiac procedures and calculate perfusion requirements.
• Conduct perfusion techniques and monitor patient status to maintain vital signs, flows and pressures.
• Maintain CCP status through meetings, inservices and publications.
• Work well as a team member, lending assistance when needed.
• Complete competency checklist or in-service review.
