Job summary

Town of Garner is seeking an experienced performing arts administrator to serve as the Cultural Arts Manager for GPAC. The role leads staff, develops arts programs, manages the budget, and coordinates partnerships to advance community cultural offerings.

The position requires evening/weekend availability and supervisory experience, with preferred CPRP/CVP credentials and a Master's degree in Arts Management or related field.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with at least 5 years' experience in recreational or cultural facility management and operations.
• Or Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years' experience in recreational or cultural facility management and operations.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience developing and implementing arts and cultural programs.
• A North Carolina driver's license with good driving history.
• CPR and first aid certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Flexibility to work frequent evening and weekend hours for arts events.
• CPRP or CVP designation desirable.
• A Master's Degree in Arts Management or related field desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide staff in delivering arts and cultural programs.
• Develop and implement programming, events and venue rentals for GPAC.
• Administer and monitor the operating budget for assigned areas.
• Identify grants and opportunities to enhance programs and services.
• Participate in planning and evaluation aligning with CAPRA standards.
• Maintain community relations and coordinate with partners and events.
