Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Performance Instructor (PI) to lead the DC Operations training program, focusing on new-hire onboarding, best methods, and equipment training. The PI will also support safety and serve as a development path toward future Coach roles, under the guidance of the Assistant Operations Manager and department Coach.

When not training, the PI handles standard DC functions or participates in special projects, and is eligible for the Performance Team Member Bonus.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Experience training others
• Experience operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck)
• Proven record of complying with safety requirements
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills
• Demonstrated track record of consistent and reliable on-the-job contribution
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision or with a team
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead new hire training and job function training as the primary department trainer.
• Teach safety culture and ensure a safe working environment for associates.
• Support development efforts and potential growth to Coach roles as assigned by leadership.
• Perform normal DC operations when not performing as a PI and participate in special projects as directed.
