Job summary

Bandit Running, Inc. is seeking a Surface / Print / Pattern Designer to bring artistic vision to performance product. You will develop patterns and graphics for active fabrics, engineer artwork for prints, and create 3D renders to ensure proper placement.

Collaborate with the Lead Designer across all apparel categories in a full-time, in-office role at our Greenpoint, Brooklyn HQ. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience in print/surface design, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in print/surface design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing refined taste, color sensibility, and versatility in pattern design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and working knowledge of color separation tools and CAD software, plus 3D software (Browzwear, Clo).
• Exceptional understanding of color theory, print placement, repeat building, and digital file organization.
• Comfortable working across abstract and graphic patterns from minimal to expressive.
• Familiarity with activewear fabrics and how print interacts with stretch, opacity, and finish.
• Strong organization and communication skills to manage multiple deadlines and cross-functional feedback.

Responsibilities

• Support original print and pattern design development for performance apparel.
• Create artwork layouts for engineered and repeat prints across product categories.
• Collaborate with design and brand teams on seasonal print direction and storytelling.
• Develop factory-ready files with proper layers, scales, and formats for production.
• Create 3D renders to verify placement and scale of artwork.
