Job description

GENTLE MONSTER is a global fashion eyewear brand recognized for its distinctive design, experimental retail spaces, and creative campaigns. Together with fragrance brand TAMBURINS and dessert brand NUDAKE, GENTLE MONSTER is part of IICOMBINED.

About the Role

GENTLE MONSTER is seeking a Performance Marketing Operations & Analytics Specialist with 2-4 years of hands-on media buying experience and strong marketing analytics skills. Candidates must have at least 1-2 years of direct experience implementing campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, analyzing performance in GA4, and configuring social listening queries and dashboards in Talkwalker, Brandwatch, or equivalent platforms.

Working within our ecommerce team, you will personally build, launch, monitor, and optimize campaigns across Meta, Google, and TikTok. You will manage budget pacing, develop dashboards, and connect advertising performance with website behavior and consumer insights to inform marketing decisions.

What You Will Do
Meta Ads Manager&TikTok Ads Manager
  • Independently create, launch, and manage campaigns, ad sets, and ads, including objectives, audiences, budgets, placements, creative, copy, and tracking parameters.
  • Manage prospecting, retargeting, and catalog campaigns. Monitor delivery, investigate performance changes, and implement improvements directly in Ads Manager.
  • Test audiences, creative, and messaging. Analyze performance by campaign, audience, placement, and product.
  • Work with E-commerce Merchandiser to create product sets and resolve catalog or feed issues.
Google Ads
  • Personally build, launch, monitor, and optimize Search, Performance Max, and Shopping campaigns, including campaign structure, bidding, budgets, assets, and product groups.
  • Conduct keyword research and search-term analysis. Manage negative keywords and match types, and write and test search ad copy and supporting assets.
  • Review product-feed health in Google Merchant Center and coordinate fixes.
  • Align advertising with product launches, bestsellers, inventory availability, and ecommerce priorities.
Advanced Analytics and Dashboard Development
  • Use GA4 reports and Explorations to analyze acquisition, landing pages, customer behavior, e-commerce funnels, conversion, and revenue.
  • Evaluate traffic quality and contribution across paid search, paid social, organic search, organic social, direct, referral, affiliate, email/SMS, and identifiable AI referrals.
  • Clean, combine, and validate large advertising and ecommerce datasets. Investigate changes in spend, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, and revenue across campaigns, audiences, products, and time periods.
  • Independently build dashboards in Google Data Studio / Looker Studio, including connecting data sources, creating calculated fields, and configuring filters and comparisons.
  • Bring together advertising, GA4, ecommerce, search visibility, and social listening data where available.
  • Design structured tests and evaluate results with attention to sample size, seasonality, conversion lag, data quality, and attribution differences.
  • Produce reporting that explains what changed, the likely reasons, and the recommended actions. Implement campaign improvements and measure the results.
Budget Pacing, Allocation and Forecasting
  • Build and maintain Excel models for daily, weekly, and monthly budget pacing, remaining spend, month-end forecasts, and variance to plan.
  • Use advanced Excel functions, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and multi-step formulas, to create accurate reports and spending scenarios.
  • Recommend budget allocation across platforms and campaigns based on efficiency, growth opportunities, product priorities, and sales targets.
  • Work with the Ecommerce Department Lead and Finance team on forecasts. Identify overspend, underspend, and delivery risks early.
Marketing Research, Search Visibility and Consumer Insights
  • Use Semrush and Google Search Console to research keywords, search intent, organic visibility, competitors, and content gaps. Recommend SEO improvements with ecommerce and content partners.
  • Support GEO-generative engine optimization-by evaluating brand mentions and citations in AI-generated answers, monitoring identifiable AI referral traffic, and testing content improvements.
  • Use Talkwalker, Brandwatch, or comparable social listening tools to create queries, dashboards, and reports covering brand sentiment, share of voice, emerging conversations, and competitor activity.
  • Conduct qualitative research through customer feedback, reviews, social conversations, and open-ended survey responses.
  • Conduct quantitative research using survey results, search trends, website behavior, and campaign data. Assess data limitations and identify meaningful patterns.
  • Translate research findings into recommendations for audience targeting, ad copy, creative, landing pages, content, and marketing investment.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 1-4 years of direct experience personally implementing, monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing live campaigns in Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads Manager.
  • Hands-on Google Search, Performance Max, and Shopping experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including independently building budget pacing models, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Strong GA4 proficiency and experience building Google Data Studio / Looker Studio dashboards from scratch.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical curiosity. You can validate complex datasets, investigate performance changes, evaluate tests, and explain how your findings should influence campaign or budget decisions.
  • Ability to combine qualitative and quantitative marketing research with a working knowledge of SEO, GEO, and social listening.
  • Strong ad copywriting, clear communication, and careful attention to campaign settings, tracking, and reporting accuracy.
  • Practical experience with Semrush and social listening platforms such as Talkwalker or Brandwatch, including setting up queries, dashboards, and reports. Experience with comparable tools is welcome.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, economics, business, statistics, data science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-house paid media or performance marketing experience with a consumer or ecommerce brand, particularly in fashion, luxury, beauty, or lifestyle.
  • SQL, Python, or Power Query skills for working with larger datasets, automating reporting, or conducting deeper statistical analysis.
