Qualifications

  • Data abstraction from patient charts with minimal patient contact.
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable job-specific experience.
  • Nursing degree highly preferred.
  • Valid Michigan RN license highly preferred.
  • BLS provider preferred (AHA/Red Cross accepted).
  • Lean Healthcare Mgmt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Position will work on the Michigan Emergency Department Improvement Collaborative (MEDIC).
  • Data abstraction from patient charts with minimal patient contact.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution.
  • Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems and tools.
  • Collaborates with leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.
  • Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.
  • Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance.
  • Assists in policy, procedure and contract review; coordinates quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Position will consist of data abstraction from patient charts and have minimal patient contact.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
  • Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations.
  • Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.
  • Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.
  • Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Assists in policy, procedure and contract review process. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Mgmt. preferred.
Education
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
  • Nursing degree highly preferred.
  • Valid Michigan RN License highly preferred
