Job summary

Panthera Grid Partners is seeking a Performance Engineer to maximize the operational and financial performance of its utility-scale solar and energy storage assets. The role leads performance analytics, production forecasting, root-cause analysis, and optimization across a diverse portfolio.

You will collaborate with Asset Management, O&M, Commercial Operations, Development, Engineering, and third-party providers to identify risks, improve fleet availability, and ensure energy production targets

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of renewable industry experience in a performance-related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related quantitative field.
• Strong knowledge of PV solar energy systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Proficiency in data analysis using Excel, Python, MATLAB, Fabric or related software.
• Understanding inverter operation, power conversion principles, and power electronics.
• Advanced understanding of PVsyst software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both experts and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with teams.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze fleet-wide solar plant performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools.
• Lead root-cause analyses of underperformance events and production losses.
• Evaluate SCADA, meteorological, inverter, tracker, and revenue meter data for optimization.
• Perform regular performance assessments for operating assets.
• Support due diligence for acquisitions, financing, and portfolio valuations.
