Job summary

Berklee College of Music seeks a Performance Division Student Assistant to support promotion, communication, and documentation for Performance Division programs and events. This role is ideal for a student with strong creative skills and experience with digital media, graphic design, and photography.

You will help maintain a consistent and engaging public presence across platforms while supporting day-to-day communication needs.

Qualifications

• Current student in good academic standing.
• Experience with graphic design and visual content creation.
• Proficiency with creative and/or business communication software.
• Photography experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must submit a cover letter & provide examples of creative visual work during interview.
• Federal Work Study student may apply.
• In good disciplinary standing.
• Must be located in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule social media posts for various Performance Division programs and events.
• Design promotional materials, including flyers, digital graphics, and other marketing assets.
• Attend Performance Division events to photograph, document, and promote activities.
• Edit and organize media for promotional and archival use.
• Assist with program communications, including email newsletters and announcements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

• Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

• Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

• A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

• Federal Work Study student may apply.

• In good disciplinary standing.

• Must be located in the U.S.

Work Expectations:

• Commitment of 10-15 hours per week
• Additional hours may be needed for special projects

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Hourly Rate : Student Worker 2, $16.97/hour
