Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Social Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn quickly about department portfolio, priorities, data and constraints, and refine presentation, data transformation, and analytical skills on the job.
• Build relationships with department heads, division managers, frontline employees, and other city staff to understand operational realities through data analysis.
• Follow up and persistently ensure projects, deliverables, and office initiatives are accurate and complete.
• Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team to create holistic solutions and know when to engage colleagues and managers.
• Think strategically and contribute to business intelligence strategies addressing moderate complexity problems.
• Manage time effectively to balance multiple responsibilities and priorities.
• Make well-considered decisions by weighing multiple elements for reporting and presentation.
