Job summary

Applied Intuition seeks a Perception Systems Engineer with an automotive background in ADAS and autonomous driving, to define perception requirements and evaluate safety and performance at scale. You will influence the technical direction of perception projects for the automotive space and own subsystem requirements.

You will collaborate across software and hardware teams to design sensors, develop a robust V&V pipeline, and drive timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a system engineering role owning requirements and verification in automotive.
• Experience in perception systems and autonomous driving contexts.
• Expertise with sensor modalities used for autonomous driving.
• Coding expertise developing scripts for perception framework and evaluation (Python preferred, C++ nice to have).
• MS/BS in Computer Science, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Expertise across mechanical, electrical and software engineering.
• Experience with ADAS, autonomous systems and robotics (L2++).

Responsibilities

• Design, monitor and manage full subsystem requirements for perception and verify they meet goals.
• Support tools development to derive perception requirements from stakeholder needs and safety case.
• Develop and manage scalable V&V pipeline for perception to evaluate performance and support releases.
• Coordinate with perception SW team to align on requirements.
• Collaborate with HW teams on perception sensors and hardware.
• Provide clear goals and manage tasks for timely project execution.
